Rays of the Sun - in hardback

Rays of the Sun was temporarily unavailable from our shop.  We're happy to say that it is available again.

Rays of the Sun brings together three booklets that were very popular in the 1980s and an article that appeared in Caduceus magazine. The chapters cover the topics of the four noble truths, eightfold path, karma, kindness and refuge. "The four evening talks contained here deal with the themes studied by everyone exploring Buddhism in depth: the four noble truths, eightfold path, causality, compassion and refuge. This material is discussed in creative contemporary English, and presented from a perspective informed by Dzogchen."

Publishing Revolution

We have had some interest from the news media in Cardiff because we are using print-on-demand to publish books - they describe this as a 'publishing revolution'.  They hope that this will be inspiring to local authors who are looking to publish their books.

This has been our first experience of being interviewed about our publishing work, hopefully it will not be the last.

Tantric Art : Dorje Phurba

This thangka displays the Aro gTér form of the Dorje Phurba – the formidable, flaming, ‘Glaring Malachite Devil’ of the Buddha-karma who liberates through destruction. Dorje Phurba is the ‘Furiously Splenetic Shrieking Green Razor Demon of Instantaneous Annihilation’. He is in ecstatic embrace with the agonisingly iridescent lapis lazuli Yeshé Tsogyel.

Tantric Art : Khandro Chö-ying Nyima ’ö-Zér

Khandro Chö-ying Nyima ’ö-Zér was the daughter of a Tibetan father and Chinese mother. On her travels she met various Lamas and wandering practitioners – one of whom was Ngakpa Dawa Ngödrüp who she eventually married. She became a strong practitioner of Tsogyel Tröllö and the Tsogyel manifestations of Drölma.
